Parenting
can be both joyful and challenging, even in the best of
circumstances. When an infant is born with a hearing loss
many parents face uncertain family issues. Often they are
unsure who to turn to for guidance. One of the best sources
of advice is other parents who have already dealt with some
of the same issues. In this section we asked several parents
of deaf or hard of hearing children to talk about how they
approach specific situations, including getting the entire
family involved in a supportive manner.
